Round calculated display values without changing scale expressions, tuning calculations, or exported scale data.

Spacing

Adjust horizontal and vertical layout whitespace independently. 20 px matches the current interface spacing; 0 removes adjustable whitespace and 40 doubles it.

Note colors

Choose whether the scale-degree palette progresses by pitch distance in cents or evenly by scale degree, and whether that palette path is re-spaced for approximately uniform perceptual change. The same palette path is used by ordinary Palette note colors and by Note highlight when its source is Palette.

Mode display

Choose how scale mode numbers are written in the interface. Scale metadata always stores the mode as an integer.

Scale notes

Show or hide the application-owned Scala metadata block in Scale notes. This is a display-only preview of export metadata; the editable note definition remains canonical, and export always includes the required metadata.

Note highlight

Choose the color source for played-note lollipops and period markers in the Note ladder and Scale comparison. Metadata reads @color-playing from each note and falls back to the palette when absent or invalid. Highlight band optionally adds a translucent band behind each played note using the same resolved highlight color.
